Recently featured on Atlanta's NPR station WABE, Newnan photo-journalist Brent Walker's recently published book The Hidden South is a powerful collection of moving stories. Walker set off on a journey several years ago to share the stories of people living on the fringes of society and document their often heart-breaking stories. Stunning and intense portraits are paired with interviews about these "unseen" individuals' histories.
Walker will be on hand during downtown Carrollton's first ever "Main Street Art Take-Over." Fifteen downtown Carrollton businesses will become venues for dozens of area artists and musicians as we invite community members to join us in celebration of their creativity.
Walker will be signing copies of The Hidden South and selling photographic prints.
