For the inaugural John Ferling Distinguished Lecture, we welcome Dr. Alan Taylor, Pulitzer Prize winning author and currently the Thomas Jefferson Foundation Chair in American History at the University of Virginia.

During the 1780s, the end of the Revolutionary War created a complicated future for Americans. The peace treaty set in motion an array of peoples who had competing visions of North America. From British officials and Loyalist refugees, to Native Americans and western settlers, people across the new nation grappled with the impact and meaning of the American Revolution.

Join us for a presentation by Dr. Alan Taylor that offers a new understanding of one of the most pivotal events in American history.

We will have the book for sale at this event, and Dr. Taylor will sign books following the lecture.

Reception: 6:00-7:00, Lecture: 7:00
