Poetry Book Release Party & Reading with Chad Davidson & Greg Fraser

Please consider joining us to celebrate the release of two new books of poetry from local poets and UWG profs Chad Davidson & Greg Fraser. There will an open house style event from 5-7, including FREE COPIES OF THEIR BOOKS TO THE FIRST 50 ATTENDEES!! Hang out with the authors, enjoy free refreshments, and get your book signed. They will do a live reading from their new books at 6pm.

This event made possible with support from the Georgia Writers Association, the Carrollton Creative Writing Club, and Underground Books.

Chad Davidson is the author of From the Fire Hills (2014), The Last Predicta (2008), and Consolation Miracle (2003), all three from Southern Illinois UP, as well as co-author with Gregory Fraser of two textbooks, Analyze Anything: A Guide to Critical Reading and Writing (Continuum, 2012) and Writing Poetry: Creative and Critical Approaches (Palgrave Macmillan, 2009). His poems have appeared in AGNI, Boston Review, DoubleTake, The Paris Review, Ploughshares, Virginia Quarterly Review, and many others. He is a professor of literature and creative writing and director of the School of the Arts at the University of West Georgia near Atlanta.

Gregory Fraser is the author of three poetry collections: Strange Pietà (Texas Tech University Press), Answering the Ruins and Designed for Flight (both from Northwestern University Press).
His poems have appeared in The Paris Review, The Southern Review, and The Gettysburg Review, among others. The recipient of a grant from the National Endowment for the Arts, Fraser serves as professor of English and creative writing at the University of West Georgia.
