Carrollton Society for Truth and Justice: "Be-In" Party/Meet & Greet

Friday, Sep 20, 2013 7:00 PM - 9:30 PM

Hear Ye, Hear Ye...Our kick-off CSTJ season-opener event is happening on Friday, September 20 at 7:00 pm. "The Party With A Purpose" Come on out to Underground Books for the "BE-IN" - - Yes, a newly resurrected version of that 1960's concept! ....Friends, Finger Foods, Libations, and...a chance to BE WHO YOU ARE, and to encourage greater diversity and awareness in Carrollton. We'll be giving everyone who attends an opportunity to briefly "tell forth" and champion (if they so choose) an issue that he or she feels needs more attention in our local community, and throughout the world. You can showcase an item/topic that is overlooked, needed, misrepresented, censored, ignored, or otherwise simply unknown throughout usual mainstream media sources. We do this using the "no-feedback-to-feedback" method: All will get exposure to your idea/passion/cause, and no one can criticize or knock it down during the event. We'll be paying attention and taking notes, and getting ideas for future topic presentations, MAYBE YOURS. Later in the evening we may watch together a few short entertaining, motivational videos from Wayne Walton (Complimentary Currencies/ Mountain Hours) - very lively, and inspiring! Don't miss "BE-ing" there!!! Mark your calendar now... About Carrollton Society for Truth and Justice: Mission statement: “CSTJ is an informal, non-partisan monthly social gathering. We seek to increase our awareness and deepen our understanding of major challenges in our society and in our world. We discuss or address issues that routinely cause suffering, injustice or denial of human dignity or liberty. Focus statement: “We try to promote worldwide peace, justice and accountability. We hope to shed light on related issues or events that may be granted only surface-level attention in our mainstream media. We believe that responsible citizenship requires an absence of apathy and a desire for more transparency in our governing institutions. We desire to become positive, action-oriented individuals, and respectful of a diversity of opinions.”
