Bound in blue cloth over boards, with upper board and spine lettered in gilt. Moderate wear to binding, with soiling to cloth, hard bumping to corenrs and to head and tail of spine, and paper remnant to upper edge of rear board. Binding is sound. Bumping to top corners has left crease to top corner of text block. Pages are clean and unmarked. An admittedly worn but solid and still presentable 1986 printing of this atlas of the Mughal Empire, providing detailed maps of South Asia in the 16th and 17th centuries, with 32 maps and 3 sketch maps, mapping subas, Sarkars, major administrative divisions, major trade routes, mining sites, agricultural production, and industrial centers.
