Wear to boards with rubbing, toning, and bumps to covers, corners, and edges. 1" closed tear to top edge of spine. Dust-spotting to edges of text block. Penciled inscription dated 1938 to front free endpaper. Age-toned pages feel somewhat brittle, with some corners turned down. Pages are free of marks and notation. Hinges are beginning to start, however, binding remains sound. An overall solid copy of this 1937 children's book. Good. Item #9809
