Dove gray cloth over boards, with characters from the fairy tale "The Shepherdess and the Sweep" stamped in black and red to upper board, lettered in red to upper board and spine, with blossoming vine in red and black to spine. Light wear to binding, with slight lean to spine. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Binding is firm and sound. Small spot of rubbing and soiling to page 16, else clean and unmarked. Illustrated in eighty illustrations, including color frontispiece of the princess giving her kisses to "The Swineherd," three color plates, and a great many back-and-white vignettes. Very good.
