Hardcover. Signed by author in ink to half-title page. 7 1/2" X 5 1/4". 296pp. Mild wear to unclipped dust jacket with toning, rubbing, and creasing to covers, corners, and edges. Light chipping and tears to edges. CLosed tear to rear flap of jacket. Sunning to spine. Foxing to inside of jacket. Bound in gray cloth over boards with spine lettered in blue. Toning to covers of boards. Bump to bottom edge of front board. Corners are turned in. Age-yellowing to pages. Pages are clean and unmarked. Binding is sound. An overall clean, solid copy of this signed work by British sculptor, author, and campaigner, Hilda Seligman (1882-1964), who, in the period between WWI and WWII met and entertained Mahatma Gandhi and the Emperor Haile Selassie. Seligman also founded the "Skippo" Fund in London--a program which supplied mobile health vans to isolated villages in India and Pakistan. Good / good. Item #8770
