A highly presentable and unusual Folio Society edition of the classic French epistolary novel of seduction, malice, and revenge by Pierre Choderlos de Laclos, first published in 1782 and the basis of many adaptations, including the 1999 film Cruel Intentions starring Sarah Michelle Gellar, Ryan Phillippe, Selma Blair and Reese Witherspoon. Les Liaisons Dangereuses is here beautifully presented in blocked crushed silk, with accompanying slipcase, and illustrated in frontispiece and 8 color plates of collage art by Lucy Weller.
