A touch of shelfwear to burgundy and gray cloth hardcover, with light rubbing to bottom of back cover. Contents are clean, bright, and unmarked. A sound, tight copy of Glenn Shirley's telling of the story of "the coming of law enforcement to this wild country--the big-scale war on outlaws, from the first opening of the Indian country for white settlement in 1889, to 1907, when Oklahoma, the forty-sixth state, was born" (from front flap).
