These 55 issues of the St. Petersburg, Florida-based lesbian magazine Womyn's Words span from 1992 to 1998 and hold book and movie reviews, a sex advice column answering questions about orgasms and "computer sex" and more, classifieds, articles on the AIDS crisis and safe sex for lesbians, conversations about environmental racism, disability, and fatphobia, current events (including the record of a visit of President Clinton in an article entitled "Hillary's Husband Visits Local Gallery"), a community calendar, and often wonderfully visual advertisements for events like March for Our Lives, Pride, and Take Back the Night marches, concerts by the Tampa Bay Womyn's Chorus, the Annual Pride Film Festival in nearby Tampa, many balls including "The Debs & Dykes Ball," the "Circus McGurkis: People's Fair" sponsored by the local Quaker group and the Tampa Bay Peace Education Program, the Audre Lorde Memorial Prize, a Monster Mash Halloween costume party to benefit The Women and AIDS Education Project and the HIV+ Guilt- Art Gallery, the Black & Female Workshop in Dahlonega, Georgia, Ani DiFranco in concert, full moon ritual circles and reiki-sigil workshops, the Lesbian Herstory Archives Slide Show tour, and more. Womyn's Words was published by Women's Energy Bank, an organization providing ongoing services and activites for lesbians and "womon-identified womyn," including a library, blind services, emergency funding, childcare, notary services, the "Womyn's Words" publication, and more.
