Hardcover. Ramble back through more than a century, into the lush garden of Scottish journalist and publisher Alexander Hay Japp (1837–1905) in his 1894 book Hours in My Garden and Other Nature-Sketches. These green covers which bear the bucolic image of his garden hold "the delightful record of many pleasant wanderings," now yours to enjoy, from the primroses "forming a thick carpet of green and gold" to the white convolvulus putting "forth its fairy trumpets," all prettily illustrated throughout by W. H. J. Booth, A. W. Cooper, and other artists of the time.
