Sag Harbor, New York: Second Chance; Permanent Press; Cotton Lane; Pelican, 1972 to 1989.
Hardcover. Collection of eight novels by Augusta, Georgia native Berry Fleming, who had several successful books early in his career but is most well known for his 1943 work Colonel Effingham's Raid, which was made into a movie. After abandoning writing through the 1950's and 1960's, he released a string of novels in the 1970's and 1980's. While he struggled to regain an audience during most of his "comeback" career, he did experience a resurgence in popularity after his final novel, Captain Bennet's Folly was positively reviewed in the New York Times before his death in 1989.
The books in this lot are all in generally good to very good condition, with mild shelf wear to the dust jackets, some toning to the page edges, sound bindings, and texts clean and free of marks.
