Paris: Chez Ledoux et Tenre, 1817.
Leather bound. 7 7/8" X 5 3/8". 662pp. Text in French. Bound in full contemporaneous mottled calf, with spine lettered and decorated in gilt. Rather heavy wear to binding, with exterior hinges cracking, chipping to head and tail of spine, sunning to spine, heavy edgewear, and turning in and splitting to corners. Rubbing to edges of text block. Bookplate of Henry Cumming to front pastedown. Foxing to age-toned pages throughout. Appears to be lacking rear flyleaf. Binding remains sound and text block tight. Illustrated in two plates, one of which is fold-out of Greco-Roman columns. An admittedly worn but overall relatively well-preserved leather-bound 1817 copy of this sixth volume in The Complete Works of Charles Rollin. Fair. Item #5850
