Moderate wear to binding, with rubbing and small tears to extremities, scattered rubbing to lettering, and lean to spine. Front hinge cracking, with webbing visible. Rear hinge tender. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Binding remains sound. Pages are clean and unmarked. An admittedly worn but solid early printing of this installment in John T. McIntyre's Ashton-Kirk mysteries series, illustrated throughout in tissue-guarded color frontispiece and three black and white plates. Good. Item #5374
