Rather heavy wear to binding, with heavy scattered rubbing, tears to extremities, chipping to head and tail of spine, and bumping to split corners. Front hinge starting to crack, with webbing visible at copyright page. Owner inscription of J. Markham Marshall of the University of Virginia, Session of 1892-1893 to flyleaf. Rear hinge tender. Binding remains sound. Occasional pencilled mark to pages throughout. An admittedly worn but presentable 1891 printing of this university edition of The Federalist Papers. Good. Item #5190
