Limited Edition. Hardcover. 10 3/4" X 8". xviii, 188pp. Edition limited to 300, printed on Japanese vellum at the Chiswick Press, London in June 1913. Bound in paper over boards, with spine backed in cloth with paper title label. Moderate wear to binding, with corners bumped, paper split at corners, lean to spine, dust soiling and toning, and heavy toning to faded title label. Hinges tender. Binding remains sound. Pages are clean and unmarked and all are opened. A presentable 1913 Grolier Club printing of Baziliologia: A Book of Kings, a study of the history and appearance of royal portraits from William the Conqueror to James I, published originally in 1618, illustrated throughout in sixty images, including photogravures of the title pages of the first and second editions of the original.
