Heavy foxing to edges of text block and endpapers. Binding is sound. Pages are heavily age-toned, with occasional foxing, else unmarked. An admittedly worn but solid and still striking 1937 printing of this Van Powell mystery story for boys featuring a haunted laboratory, a phantom kangaroo, and the "Voice of Doom." Fair / fair.
