Bound in full cloth, excepting A Tradition of Victory, which is bound in paper over boards with spine backed in cloth. Spines lettered in gilt. Mild edgewear to bindings, with light foxing, scattered rubbing, and occasional leans to spines. Light foxing and dust soiling to edges of text blocks. Previous owner's name and bookseller's ticket to pastedowns and front flaps. Rippling to pages at bottom edge of Sloop of War, not noticeable unless looking at the bottom of the text block. Bindings are firm and sound. Pages are clean and unmarked. A solid and attractive set of the first American printings of the 5th, 6th, 8th, 11th, 12th, 15th, and 16th novels in Alexander Kent's Bolitho series, in historical chronological order.
