Loose_leaf. This rich archive celebrates the eight decades long career of a girl scout, from 1917 to the 1990s. Gail Remington Willits (1904-2003) joined the Girl Scouts in 1917 and went on to become the first Eaglet in Essex County, New Jersey, a leader of the Orange, NJ scout troop for 14 years, the founder of Troop 13 in Maplewood in 1941, a delegate to the international scout conference in 1947, and finally an advisor to troops in Newark and Burlington County, even being recognized by Juliette Gordon Low herself.
