Red cloth over boards, with gentle bumping to head and tail of spine. Foxing and dust soiling to edges of text block. Previous owner's name to front pastedown. Toning to endpapers. Binding is sound. Pages are clean and unmarked. A handsome first American edition of this story of the fighter pilots of WWI, "the hardy men who converted the skies over France and Germany into a modern jousting field" (front flap).
