Moderate wear to binding, with edgewear, bumping to corners, scattered rubbing, crease to spine, and mild soiling. Binding is sound. Occasional smudge or crease to pages, else clean and unmarked. Joseph J. Mason's (Cornell Class of 1913) name to front free endpaper with "Seal & Serpent Lodge" inked beneath, with his notes to endpapers. Mason was one of three men lost by the Seal & Serpent Society during World War I. Founded in 1905, the Seal & Serpent Society is a college social club, one of the oldest and today the only independent social society at Cornell University. Good. Item #3308
