Mild edgewear to binding, with bumping to corners and shallow fraying to head of spine. Rear hinge a touch tender, binding remains sound. Age-toning to pages, clean and unmarked. A solid and quite striking copy in worn dust jacket of this novel of family life in Germany under the Nazi regime, the basis for the 1940 MGM film fdirected by Frank Borzage and starring Margaret Sullavan and James Stewart.
