Red cloth over boards, with spine lettered in gilt, showing light dust soiling. Toning to endpapers. Previous owner's name pencilled to front free endpaper. Light stains to pages 134 and 135, with occasional spot of toning or soiling throughout, else unmarked. A solid first edition of this spy novel by Godfrey Smith, the jacket of course invoking the Cambridge Spy Ring of the early 1950s. Good / good. Item #3222
