Rather heavy wear to binding, with edgewear, bumping to corners, small tears to head and tail of spine, and scattered rubbing. Both hinges cracked and text block loose. Previous owner's name to front pastedown. Tear to corner of flyleaf. Tissue-guarded frontispiece. Occasional foxing to pages throughout. A worn but readable copy of this 1871 Christian story for children by the author of Fruit-Gathering, Daniel Tracy's Store, Twent-Five Cents, and Forgiveness. Scarce.
