Moderate edgewear to binding, with bumping to corners and fraying to head and tail of spine. Faint spots of soiling to cloth. Sunning to spine and rear board. Top edge gilt. Previous owner's name to front free endpaper, dated 1917. Occasionally poorly cut page edge. Front hinge a touch tender. Binding is sound. Shallow tear to margin of leaf containing pages 57 and 58. Occasional spot of foxing to pages, else clean and unmarked. A quite lovely first edition copy of this collection of poetry by such poets as Amy Lowell, Edna St. Vincent Millay, Elizabeth Barrett Browning, Christina Rossetti, Emily Dickinson, Willa Cather, Ella Wheeler Wilcox, and Edith Wharton, selected by the poet Sara Teasdale.
