New Orleans, Louisiana: Privately Printed, 1987.
Staplebound wraps. 5 7/8" X 4 1/8". 18pp. White textured stapled paper wraps, lettered in black to front. Moderate edgewear and light soiling to binding. Binding is sound. Pages are clean and unmarked. A nice copy of this tribute to Father Joseph Verbis Lafleur, whose extraordinary kindness, selflessness, and courage while being held for almost three years by the Japanese in the Philippines as a WWII prisoner of war is still celebrated today. His death has been mourned for over seventy years in an annual memorial mass at St. Landry Catholic Church in Opelousas, Louisiana. Strikingly illustrated throughout in black and white. Good.
