A nice first printing copy in worn jacket of this response to the many letters requesting Doctor Hudson's journal after the publication of Douglas' first novel, Magnificent Obsession, which was twice adapted for film, the first in 1935 and starring Irene Dunne and Robert Taylor, the second in 1954 and starring Jane Wyman and Rock Hudson. Doctor Hudson's Secret Journal was adapted for television and ran from 1955 to 1957, starring John Howard as the doctor. Good + / fair. Item #2564
