Hardcover. 7" X 5 1/4". 21pp. No date of publication, circa 1971. Brown textured cloth over boards, with upper board and spine lettered in gilt. Mild edgewear and scattered rubbing to binding, sound and square. Pages are slightly musty and show an occasional spot of foxing, else clean and unmarked. Henry Edward Garrett (1894-1973) was a psychologist and segregationist with a long and unfortunately distinguished career, with positions including head of Columbia University's Department of Pyschology for 16 years, President of the American Psychological Association, and member of the National Research Council, though there were several incidents when he was rightfully challenged or dismissed due to his white supremacist views; he was also involved in the neofascist Northern League, the International Association for the Advancement of Ethnology and Eugenics (IAAEE), and the ultra-right wing political group, the Liberty Lobby.
