Item #2382 The Three Anarchists. Maud Stepney Rawson.

The Three Anarchists

London: Stanley Paul & Co., (1913).

Third Edition. Hardcover. 7 3/4" X 5 1/4". 320pp, plus 48pp ads. No date of publication, circa 1913. Green cloth over boards, with spine lettered in gilt. Soiling to cloth. Bumping to extremities. Rear hinge a touch tender. Binding is sound. Foxing to edges of text block. Occasional spot of foxing to pages, else clean and unmarked. A serviceable copy of this lively romance by popular novelist and historian Maud Stepney Rawson, author of Bess of Hardwick, A Lady of the Regency, Penelope Rich, and others. This rather misleading title, which Rawson addresses in her author's note ("this is no red-hot study of anarchy or nihilism," refers to "Love and Birth and Death," from a quote by C. F. G. Masterman which appears on the title page. Good. Item #2382
