Heavy rubbing to extremities of all volumes, with moderate scattered rubbing and corners, edges, and spines rubbed to boards in certain spots. Front hinge starting to Volume XIII and rear hinge to Volume III, with Volume XIII's upper board half-separated, else all bindings sound and firm. Bookseller notations pencilled to verso of front free endpaper of Volume I. Pages clean and bright. Small red stain to fore-edge of Volume VI. Tissue-guarded frontispieces to volumes I, IV, IX, XI, XIV, XV, and XVI. Mild offsetting to tissue guards and title pages.
