Very heavy wear to binding, with heavy edgewear, corners bumped and rubbed to boards, heavy scattered rubbing and soiling, heavy sunning to spine, with chipping to head and tail of spine. Both hinges cracking. Lacking front free endpaper. Rather heavy foxing to pages throughout, with occasional pencilled notations. Illustrated in black and white plates throughout. A worn but readable copy of this humous tale by Henry Wheeler Shaw, a popular humorist of the 19th century. Fair. Item #1921
