Heavy edgewear to each volume, with cloth rubbed through to boards in places, and scattered rubbing and dust soiling. Spines darkened, with cloth over spine separating from binding on Vol. III. Bookplate of William Forbes Morgan to each front paste-down bearing the motto Audaces Fortuna Juvat. Price marks to bookplate and paste-down on Vol. I. Toning to endpapers. Hinges tender, with webbing visible on some volumes. Tissue guarded frontispieces. Illustrated in black and white plates throughout. Pages are musty.
