Ruth Fuller Sasaki was influential in the development of Buddhism in the United States and instrumental in the translation of Zen texts into English. Not only was she the first foreign priest of a Rinzai Zen temple, she was the sole westerner and sole woman to become a priest of a Daitoku-ji temple. Her team at The First Zen Institute of America in Japan was responsible for the publication of several important texts and pamphlets like this one. Very good. Item #1674
