The King of Pirates Being an Account of the famous Enterprises of Captain Avery With Lives of other Pirates and Robbers

London: J.M. Dent & Co., 1895.

Hardcover. A well preserved, uncommon antiquarian example of this work, important for how it popularized in the European imagination the romantic idea of pirates as adventurous swashbucklers and antiheroes.

6 3/4" x 4 1/2". 381pp. Bound in original green cloth over boards, with gilt title and stamped decorations to spine.
