Plastic spiral comb binding is cracked at center. Pages are clean and unmarked. Covers are beginning to separate from binding in some places, but overall binding of text block remains sound. An overall clean, solid copy of this collection of recipes from the Kwakiutl Indians, based on data collected by George Hunt. The original work appears to have first been printed in the early twentieth century. The work's author, Franz Boas (1858-1942), was a pioneer in modern anthropology and has been referred to as "The Father of American Anthropology."
